A self-hosted FreeRADIUS billing system means a Linux box somebody has to patch, a database somebody has to back up, and 2am pages when authentication dies. XenFi's cloud RADIUS billing system removes the box: your routers point their AAA at XenFi, and authentication, accounting and plan enforcement run as a managed service.
Because the RADIUS core and the billing are one product, there is no glue code between them. A paid plan becomes an authenticated session with the right speed and cap; an expired plan disconnects on its own; and every accounting record lands in the same ledger as the payment that started it. MikroTik, Cisco, Huawei, Cambium and any other RADIUS-compliant router connect the same way.
